I just want to say that I don’t plan on doing tutorials. I’m more than willing to help and suggest ways for you to spice up your makeup, but I won’t be posting many step-by-step articles. I want to inspire you to try new things, not tell ya what to do!

In no particular order, I give you the colors used for this production.

As you’ve read in previous posts, I like to start with my eye shadow primer,Too Faced Shadow Insurance, and then a color base. I used Maybelline Color Tattoo Metals in Electric Blue for the lid and Painted Purple for part of the lid, into the crease, a little above and Bad to the Bronze for the inner corners. (See Maybelline Category for swatches of these colors if you aren’t already familiar)

The eyes start with Scratch starting at the very inner corner blending into Shag, a modest amount of Fishnet – for blending purposes, then leading into Ransom. Top lids are lined with Urban Decay liner in Zero with shadow in Zero layered on top. Bottom lash line is lined with Urban Decay liner in Ransom. I used Fishnet to encircle the eye for a more blended, fading effect.

And who knows the actual lyrics of Prince’s Purple Rain without actually looking them up? I think we all just repeat “Purple Rain” a few times over. Don’t deny!
